If you aspire to write a 50,000+ word novel, then NaNoWriMo is just “write” 🙂 for you. There is also a Young Writers Program (http://ywp.nanowrimo.org/), which is open to authors 17 and under.
In 2012, my daughter wrote a 55,000 word novel “Cloned”, which we published via Amazon CreateSpace. In 2013, she wrote an 88,000 word novel, which remains an unpublished manuscript.
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing.
On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.
